Plan Your Trip to the World Dairy Expo Today!

Because of the warm weather it is possible to spend this winter outside putting your vacation rentals to use like jet ski, cabins and ATV rentals. Not only is fall a good time to enjoy Wisconsin’s many natural resources, but in a couple months visitors can also check out the World Dairy Expo at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI. This is a dun and educational adventure your whole family can embark on.

The World Dairy Expo is a one-of-a-kind fall event that has been held in Wisconsin since 1967. While the Expo is geared towards those working in the dairy industry, there are plenty of things for visitors to see and do. There is a show for every type of cow which means fun for the whole family! Kids can burn energy exploring the different exhibits and petting some of the cows that are on display. There are also educational tutorials as well as virtual farm tours. These seminars will inform you of the most modern techniques and appliances used in dairy farming.

Typically scheduled for the first week of October (in 2009, it’ll be 9/29 – 10/3), the Expo showcases dairy cattle and various advances in the dairy industry. They have displays of over 700 companies, like Land’O'Lakes, John Deere and more, displaying their best and newest products as well as showing examples of general advancements in the industry. These venders will also have products that are available for purchase at the time of the show.

The World Dairy Expo may be a couple months away but each year 68,000 people attended so you want to start making plans now. Don’t forget to arrange for the kids to join you on this informative trip as well. The expo already has its schedule set through September 2016. Don’t wait to get your plane tickets until it’s too late!
